in the future. What began with a vision has now become reality and following a one year construction period, Plant II began operation at the TILLY plant in Althofen in 2010.

For us, the implementation of new production methods, automation, as well as improvement of production, planning and logistics justify the investment of about € 30 million.

So what does this mean, though, in specific terms to you? Annually we are now able to produce up to 6 million m2 of solid coniferous and deciduous wood based panels.

The newly erected facility does not serve merely as an additional location for the production of solid wood panels. It is also eco-friendly as production waste is burned to produce steam which in turn provides electricity and heating. In addition to the required on-site heating and power for the press facility, drying kilns and general usage, surplus electricity is fed into the existing public power grid and heat for the village of Althofen, al l providing a benefit to the local community as a whole.
